Welcome to the 2003 Wireless Freedom Tour of America Moblog
|
Historical Background: This work is one of the early uses of the Nokia multimedia
phones -- specifically, the Nokia 3650. The technology is a very early implementation of a moblog. All of the content was created directly on the phone
and then sent over the wireless network to a server. The server then created the appropriate Web page. The content
was actually emailed from the phone, with multimedia attachments. The backend server is an ASP.Net application.
|
The directory lists each entry in the Multimedia Tour log, by
subject and date. This kind of mobile Web log is also known as a "moblog".
To view a specific entry, click on the
subject line.
When a moblog page is displayed, you may see a description,
one or more images, and possibly audio or video links. In most browsers,
the audio will play automatically. If not, click on the audio link.
Please
note:To view the video in the moblog, you must first install a video player capable of handling 3GP files.
The Nokia Multimedia Player and Real Player are two such applications.
