This is one of the less-visited yet more-enticing hikes in Capitol Reef National Park, Utah. Here I take you from the visitor center all the way to the second of three great waterfalls. Along the way you visit an historic pioneer site, a challenging waterfall, beautiful rapids and deep pools. Perfect for a hot summer day!

The Pleasant Creek hike is a little-visited gem in Capitol Reef National Park. The hike is off of a dirt road at the end of Scenic Drive. I take you through the hike, from the Pleasant Creek Campground in the Dixie National Forest and on down to the park. You are also introduced to the pleasure of a pre-hike Gifford House pie. I also take you to a petroglyph site that is definitely off the beaten path.
